Regarding ``Kill the beast'' (editorial, Sept. 21): You castigate ``corporate welfare,'' the money given to companies. Please remember that this goes toward business, which creates jobs, not to mention helping our own companies compete with foreign ones so that the playing field is evened.
Over the past 40 years, this country has given $40 billion toward welfare, and what have we got but the greatest number of welfare recipients ever?
