RUFUS CLARK

Rufus ``Doc'' Clark, of the 700 block of Stanwix Square, died Sept. 27, 1995, in his home.

Mr. Clark, a retired self-employed auto repairman, worked at Virginia Auto Repair, Norfolk, for 50 years. He retired in 1985. He was born in Norfolk County, and was a member of New Hope Church of God in Christ, Norfolk. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviors include his wife, Virginia L. Clark; seven daughters, Valerie Clark, Cynthia Johnson and Sandra Johnson, both of Norfolk, Felecia Stinnett and Kezia Perry, both of Virginia Beach, Carmell Massey of Shelby, N.C., and Val Jean Clark of Vallejo, Calif.; one son, Mark Clark of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Doris Lamb and Gladys Savage, both of Portsmouth, Evelyn Chambers and Ethel Whitfield of Chesapeake; three brothers, Theodore Clark and Earl Clark, both of Chesapeake, Dr. Rev. Herman Clark Sr. of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Hope Church of God in Christ by Dr. Rev. Herman Clark Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.
