Ethel W. Evans, of the 100 block of Allard Road, died Sept. 26, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a native of Emporia, Va., and was the widow of Walter Lee Evans. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Mrs. Evans was involved in both the Senior Citizens, and the Widows Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Coston and Ivy E. Sumler; one son, Walter Evans Jr.; one sister, Annie C. Cook; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. C.K. Jones in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home today from 6 to 7 p.m.
