SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT

Ten Central Elementary School students were treated at Albemarle Hospital and released Thursday morning after their school bus was involved in an accident.

No one was seriously injured, school officials said. State and school officials were investigating the accident in the southwestern area of Pasquotank County. Thirty-five students were riding the bus at the time.

Representatives from the school system's central office, as well as school nurses and counselors, responded to the scene, officials said. The Pasquotank County Sheriff's Department, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Pasquotank-Camden rescue squad responded.
