George Gray Corey, 62, formerly of American Legion Road, died Sept. 28, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Corey, a native of Martin County, N.C., was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lee Hobbs of Chesapeake; one son, George Glenn Corey of Oak City, N.C.; two brothers, Wilson Corey of Richmond, Va., and Abe Corey of Greenville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in West Park Church of Christ by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Burial will be in Hardison Mill Cemetery, Farmlife, N.C., at 11 a.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at 4800 Deerview Court, Chesapeake.
