Witmell Tunstall Stowe Jr., 90, of the 900 block of Westmorland Ave., a retired self-employed contractor, died Oct. 1, 1995, in Newport News.
Born in Mingo County, W.Va., he retired as owner of W.T. Stowe Jr. Contracting Company. He was the widower of Rose Eleanor Stowe and was a member of Westhaven Baptist Church and Loyal Order of the Elks.
Survivors include an adopted daughter, Betty S. Boltz of Richmond, Va. and her two children, Theresa P. Boltz and Gerald A. Boltz, both of Richmond; a sister, Beulah White of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Westhaven Baptist Church by the Rev. W. Thomas Wood. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
