The report ``A father's journey of love'' (Sept. 28) (about a Panamanian father's trek over mountains and through jungle carrying his daughter in search of medical treatment to repair a cleft lip and palate) was worth the price of a year's subscription to your paper.
Reading of so much hostility, killing and of parental abuse to children, a story such as this one makes me feel that just maybe we as a world will make it after all.
