Courtney South Ives, 70, died Oct. 4, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Ives was born in Boone, N.C., and resided more than 50 years in the Tidewater area. She retired from H&R Block in 1994 after 10 years of service. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Raymond H. Ives Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond H. Ives Jr., and Robert E. Ives, both of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Shirley Matheson of Boone, N.C., Ruby Johnson of Mayfield, Calif., June Johnson of Simpsonville, S.C.; two brothers, John South of Boone, Steven South of Savannah, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Jason D. Ives, Meredith L. Ives and Angela M. Ives.
A chapel service will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
