Major Turner, 83, of 6557 Old Myrtle Road, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 1995, at his home.
Mr. Turner was a native of Isle of Wight County and was retired from St. Regis Paper Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ella McClenney Turner; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Donald Trump. The burial will be at Holland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and suggest that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
