Reginald Edward Vaughan, 84, of the 27000 block of Walters Highway, died Oct. 11, 1995.
Mr. Vaughan was a life-long resident of Isle of Wight County and was the son of the late George W. and Bertha Rose Vaughan. He was a retired papermaker at Union Camp Corp. and was a life-long member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Walters Ruitan Club, Woodman of the World Lodge (NU)186, and Purdie Masonic Lodge (NU)170 A.F.& A.M., Windsor, Va.
Surivors include his wife of 58 years, Beatrice Joyner Vaughan; one daughter, Pamela R. Vaughan of Walters; and one son, Marion E. Vaughan of Newport News; two brothers, George Woodrow Vaughan of Newport News, and Ray Vaughan of Hampton; three grandchildren, Kathy V. Lewis, S. Craig Vaughan and John E. Vaughan; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Mt. Carmel Christian Church by the Rev. Robert Bennett. The burial, with Masonic rites, will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and suggest that memorials be made to the Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Walters, Va. 23481.
