Fannie Jaffe Loewenthal, 95, of the 6400 block of Auburn Drive, died Oct. 11, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Loewenthal, the widow of Dr. George Loewenthal, was a native of Hazelton, Pa. She was a retired school teacher in Atlantic City, N.J., and managed and worked at Alco Hardware Store in Portsmouth. She was a member of Gomley Chesed Synagogue, life member of Hadassah, and member of the Sisterhood.
Survivors include one sister, Ina J. Reshefsky of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Gomley Chesed Cemetery by Rabbi Philip S. Krohn. Memorial donations may be made to the Gomley Chesed Synagogue or Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia. The family will receive friends at 1 Crawford Parkway, Portsmouth. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, in charge.
