Ida Wilson Grindstaff, 73, of Pollocksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1995, at Craven Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by one son, Albert Cannon of Trenton; one daughter, Virginia Cannon-Herring of Chesapeake; two sisters, Sadie W. Falls and Blanch W. Aycock, both of Pollocksville; seven grandchildren, including Cleveland Douglas Herring, Christopher Wayne Herring, and Renee Herring Manalo of the Chesapeake area; and five great-grandchildren, including Nathan Douglas Herring and Erica Malia Herring of the Chesapeake area.
A service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lee's Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Severt officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pollock-Wells and Best Funeral Home, New Bern, N.C., from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight.
