Roy Lavon McNeal, 72, of the 1400 block of Old Oak Arch, died Oct. 10, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. McNeal, a retired Air Force captain, was a native of Alabama. He served as an Army Air Force pilot during World War II. He was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred White McNeal; two daughters, Barbara Lynn McNeal-Hixon of Dade City, Fla., and Kathryn L. Sottile of Fairfax, Va.; one sister, Eloise Lashley of Bessemer, Ala.; four grandchildren, Robert and Rebecca Sottile and Cassie and Jenny McNeal; daughter-in-law, April McNeal of Erie, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. McNeal was preceded in death by a son, Richard H. McNeal.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Arlington National Cemetery. Mr. McNeal will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. The family has requested that any floral tributes please be sent to Arlington National Cemetery, Admin. Office, Arlington, Va. 22210. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, in charge.
