Thomas Harvey Jordan Sr., 85, of Route 1, died Oct. 11, 1995, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
Mr. Jordan was born in Camden County. The son of the late Luther A. and Mrs. Alice Parsons Jordan, he was retired from the Gatesville Unit of the N.C. Department of Corrections. He was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Midgette Jordan; two daughters, Joyce Jordan Bornfriend and her husband, Carl M. Bornfriend of Frisco, N.C., Linda Jordan Eure and her husband, Victor B. Eure of Edenton; one son, Thomas H. Jordan Jr. and his wife, Janet Hester Jordan, of Roswell, Ga.; one step-son, Lewis M. Hooper and his wife, Helen Hooper, of Pasadena, Md.; one sister, Mollie Bell of Elizabeth City; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Miller Funeral Home by the Rev. Lisa Creech Bledsoe. Burial will follow in Damascus Christian Church Cemetery, Sunbury. Friends may join the family at the residence.
