Akiko Dickerson departed this life on Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, 1995, at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, where her father, sisters and brothers reside.
Mrs. Dickerson retired from Londontown Manufacturing Co. after 20 years of employment where she received numerous awards for faithful service. She was a lifetime member in the Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Dickerson; a son, Earl Darden of Lewisville, Texas; a daughter, Linda Darden of Newport News; three granddaughters and a grandson.
Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 1995, at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel and a service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Assemble at Funeral Chapel by 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Arrangements by Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel-Newport News. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
