Willie Otelia Drew, a native of Windsor, N.C., died Oct. 10, 1995, in her home.
She was born July 16, 1911, the only daughter of the late William and Otelia Smith Overton. Willie attended the Bertie Academey in Windsor, and Elizabeth City State Teachers College where she received a B.S. degree in Education. She enrolled in New York University and received a Master's Degree in Supervision. She later in enrolled in William and Mary where she received a Master's Degree in Library Science. She was a professor at Palmetto College in Mullins, S.C. She was later employed as a supervisor of the Bertie County Schools. She retired from the James County Shcool System in Williamsburg and later retired in her home in Windsor, N.C. She was a faithful member of St. Elmo Baptist Church, Windsor, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday.
Survivors are many cousins and friends.
Gilliam Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge of the arrangements.
