William Thomas Peet Sr., 100, of the 6300 block of Dove St., died early Oct. 11, 1995, in his residence.
He was a farmer and also worked on the railroad in Portsmouth. Mr. Peet was a native of Southampton County and was a member of Tabernacle of God Holiness Churches.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Otis Peet of Norfolk; three daughters, Virginia Peet, Barbara Peet, Rosa Peet, all of Norfolk; five sons, William Peet Jr., Picious Peet, Robert Peet, John Peet, all of Norfolk, and Alfonso Peet of Windsor, Va.; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late Charlie and Roxie Peet.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday by Elder Michael Simmons in Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, 11069 Old Bellefield Road, Drewryville, Va. Burial is in Saint Luke Holiness Church Cemetery, Drewryville. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church noon Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 6366 Dove St. Saturday at 11 a.m. for funeral procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
