A Norfolk man was killed by gunfire during an apparent robbery attempt Wednesday night, police reported Thursday.
James R. Miller, 20, was at home in the 2900 block of Verdun Ave. when he was fatally wounded just before midnight. He was pronounced dead at 12:03a.m.
