Charles Murray believes that the best protection for his investment
in his 1994 Honda Prelude is to take excellent care of it. He checks
all fluids and does a visual inspection under the hood weekly. ``If
you take care of a car, it will take care of you,'' he says.
Rose Daugherty's 1988 Volvo has had every 5,000-mile checkup on
time. The car has not had a breakdown in a 112,000 miles.
