Neal J. Jones, 83, a native of Norfolk County, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Orange, Calif.
He was the son of the late James Reynolds Jones and Addie Thebarge Jones. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Naval Reserve and the Catholic War Veterans, also St. Mary's Academy, Class of 1930. He resided in California since 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Nobue Jones; two sisters, Josephine McKown of Chesapeake and Teresa Eller of Virginia Beach. Funeral services will be held in Huntington Beach, on Monday. Also on Monday, a Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Gregory the Great in Virginia Beach at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to attend.
