The Alliance Francaise and Virginia Wesleyan College are co-sponsoring a dinner/lecture with Senator Andre Maman at 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the Boyd Dining Center at VWC.
The senator is also professor of French at Princeton University and his topic will be ``La Francophonie dans la Nouvelle Europe,'' or Francophonie in the New Europe. The discussion will cover the external relations of the European community and the partnership between the European Union and the United States in the 1990s.
In addition, Claude Fay, the consul general of France, will be the guest of honor. The cost is $14 for members of The Alliance Francaise, $16 for nonmembers and $10 for students.
