Florida Jean Brewer, of the 600 block of Pile St., died Oct. 11, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was a native of Colerain, N.C., and was a retired clerk with the City of Chesapeake with 20 years of service.
Survivors include four daughters, Octavia Brewer and Shannon Brewer of Chesapeake, and Sharon Brewer and Michele Hill of Norfolk; two sons, Lorenzo Brewer of Chesapeake and Desmond Brewer of Norfolk; four sisters, Martha Watford of Hampton, Clara Drake of Colerain, Elsie L. Holley of Virginia Beach, and Geneva Britt of Brownsville, N.J.; four brothers, James Wilson of Hampton, Madrice Kearney of Iowa City, Iowa, Christopher Kearney of Chesapeake and Arthur Kearney of Portsmouth; 23 grandchildren; two aunts, Minnie Sitney and Willie M. Brooks of Chesapeake; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Crestwood, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Willie Lee Samuel. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at 5323 Libertyville Road, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
