WILLIS A. SAYRE JR.

Willis Arthur Sayre Jr., 66, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Sayre was a native of Parsons, W.Va. He had retired from Smith & Welton and J.C. Penney as a display manager.

Survivors include a brother, Harry S. Sayre of Portsmouth; three nieces, Vicky Waters of Suffolk, Becky Burnette of Chesapeake and Shea Sayre of Portsmouth; and a nephew, Kevin Sayre of Portsmouth. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phylis Powell.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Douglas Gestwick. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and will also be at 3011 Sterling Point Drive, Portsmouth. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
