A public hearing regarding funding for public transportation in Hampton Roads will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at Norfolk State's Brown Hall Auditorium.

The Joint Subcommittee, which was established to study funding for public transportation, will examine the current sources of local funding, identify sources of stable and reliable dedicated funding for public transportation, and determine the scope of property tax relief taxpayers would realize when dedicated funding sources, other than local general funds, have been identified.
