I have heard religious ideology pop up more than once in the heated dialogue over the O.J. Simpson verdict. As staff writer Charlise Lyles points out in her Oct. 4 commentary, ``A justice to make up for past injustices,'' this was apparently a case of the innocent (the murder victims and their families) being punished for the sins of the guilty (every white racist in history) by letting the killer go free.
Like so much supernaturalistic ``logic,'' it is insane. Every man should be held accountable for his own actions. Period. That means all of us, including Orenthal James Simpson.
