John Bond Gillam, 75, of the 900 block of North King St., died Oct. 18, 1995, in Pitt Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Bertie County, a member of Cashie Baptist Church, and a carpenter.
Survivors include a sister, Katherine M. Gillam of Windsor; brother-in-law, Henry L. Howard of Roanoke; nephew, H. Craig Howard of Stanford, Calif.; great-niece, Theda Howard of Stanford; great-nephew, H. Craig Howard of Stanford.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Edgewood Cemetery by the Rev. Jack Byrd and the Rev. Grover Everett. The family will receive friends at 912 N. King St. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 74, Windsor, N.C. 27983. Walker Funeral Home in charge.
