The body of a 19-year-old Newport News man was found by police Thursday morning in the 100 block of Tillerson Drive in the Denbigh section of the city.
Phillip Wong Won suffered a fatal gunshot wound, said police spokeswoman Patricia L. Mahaffy. Won's death is being investigated as a homicide, she said.
Mahaffy said Won's body was discovered in the driveway of a residence in the 100 block of Tillerson Drive. Police were called at 6:09 a.m.
Police were unable to provide an address for Won.
