Emily Vaughan Moore, 85, of the 400 block of Oak Grove Road, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 1995 in her home.
Mrs. Moore, the widow of James Edward Moore, was born in Franklin, Va. She was a member of the former Christian Temple in Norfolk, and was a retired stenographer.
Survivors include two sisters, Elise V. Jeffrees of Palmer Springs, Va., and Marian V. Tripp of Norfolk; nine nieces and nephews, Katherine Cobb of Courtland, Va., Jim Cox of Silver Springs, Md., Vaughan Cox of Winston Salem, N.C., Anne Farmer of Franklin, Jimmy Jeffrees of South Hill, Va., Marjorie Skidmore of Stanford, Con., Mollie Snedegar of Roanoke, Va., Lorain Spearbeck of Arlington, Va., and L.W. Vaughan of Camden, S.C.; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be conducted in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, following the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the home of Marian V. Tripp, 419 Maycox Avenue, Norfolk, following the burial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, the Union Mission, or a favorite charity.
