Elizabeth Elsie Nuckols, 12, of the 400 block of King George Road, died Oct. 22, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
She was born in Portsmouth and was a seventh-grader at Independence Middle School. She was a member of North Beach Cats Cheerleading Squad. She was an avid gymnast.
Survivors include her parents, Nina P. and Timothy J. Nuckols; two sisters, Allison P. Nuckols and Stephanie L. Nuckols, both of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Elsie and Victor Peroni of Virginia Beach and paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Nuckols of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Father Paschal Kneip O.S.B. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elizabeth Nuckols Scholarship Fund, 413 King George Road, Virginia Beach 23462.
