NINA J. TURNER

Nina J. Turner, 86, died Oct. 23, 1995.

She was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church and a member of Ruth Rebekah Lodge (NU)3 of Smithfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie S. Turner Sr.; and two sons, Eddie S. Turner Jr. and L. Frank Turner.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda T. Hall of Smithfield, Nina T. Hancock of Portsmouth, Norma T. Evans of Vicksburg, Miss.; one son, Warren R. Turner of Seaford, Va.; three sisters, Goldie J. Carr of Suffolk, Hazel J. Berryman of Surry, Va., and Deanie J. Holland of Smithfield. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Funeral Home by the Rev. John McQuarry. Burial with Rebekah Rites will be in St. Luke's Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, at other times the family will receive friends at the home of Brenda T. Hall, 52 Hearn Drive, Smithfield. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 404 8th St., N.E. Charlottesville, Va. 22901 and the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 97, Smithfield, va. 23431.
