Viola S. Wilson, 86, passed away quietly and peacefully Oct. 23, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was the widow of Zeb F. Wilson of old Norfolk County. She is survived by an only child, a loving and caring daughter, Mary A. Arnold and husband, Cmdr. John R. Arnold, U.S. Coast Guard retired, of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Pamela Arnold and Michael Newton of the area and Gwendolyn Arnold Beard of Port Arthur, Texas; and two great-grandchildren. Viola will be missed by her family and friends at Brentlox Hall Nursing Center, where she resided since 1993.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Olive Branch Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas D. Gestwick officiating. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, in charge. The family will greet friends at the funeral from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
