Samuel Darrell Bailey, 29, of the 2400 block of Barraud Ave., died Oct. 21, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Bailey, a salesman for Checker Flag, was born in Norfolk. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include one son, Darnell Ackiss of Norfolk; his mother, Eula Palmer of Norfolk; his father, Samuel Newsome of Atlanta; one sister, Monica F. Bond of Norfolk; two brothers, Anthony Bailey and Walter Palmer, both of Norfolk; maternal grandparents, James R. Bailey and Virginia J. Bailey, both of Norfolk; paternal grandparents, Samuel H. and Velma Newsome, both of Chesapeake; one great uncle, Frank Jones of Bronx, N.Y.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at 2409 Barraud Ave., Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Wednesday for the funeral procession to the church.
