Marion Powell Forbes, 81, of the 500 block of Pacific Ave., died Oct. 23, 1995, at her home.
Mrs. Forbes was a native of Norfolk. She was the widow of Mr. Charles H. Forbes Jr. She was co-founder of Forbes Candy Inc., and was a member of Galilee Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne F. Lawton of Virginia Beach; two sons, Leigh P. Forbes of Virginia Beach and Charles H. Forbes III of Yorktown, Va.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A church service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Galilee Episcopal Church by the Rev. John D. Burley. Burial will follow at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
