Police on Monday identified a man who was fatally hit by a 1982 Toyota while he rode his bicycle in the 2600 block of Tidewater Drive Sunday.
The man was identified as Edward T. Nance, 49, of Norfolk, police said.
Nance was hit about 8:30 p.m. when he apparently crossed in front of the Toyota that was traveling north on Tidewater. Nance was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died at 9:16 p.m., police said.
