Lakeview Medical Center, Suffolk, has announced its association with Tidewater Physicians for Children Ltd., effective as of Oct. 1.
The merger provides expanded services for all patients in Western Tidewater by combining the expertise and experience of both groups, Lakeview Medical said in a statement. The pediatric unit will include Dr. Phillip Thomason, Dr. Frank Mancuso, Dr. Douglas Gregory, Dr. Richard Curry, Dr. Peter Grosso and Dr. James R. Hanley III.
Patients will continue to be seen at Tidewater Physicians for Children offices in Churchland and Midcity Portsmouth, as well as the Lakeview Medical Center offices in Suffolk and northern Suffolk. Patients requiring hospitalization will be cared for at Obici, Maryview and Portsmouth General hospitals.
