Mrs. Louise Potts, 52, of the 6600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., was called home on Oct. 22, 1995, at 2 a.m. at DePaul Medical Hospital, after a long illness.
Mrs. Louise Potts was born on January 25, 1943, in Quincy, Fla. Mrs. Potts was a longtime resident of Norfolk. She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Pheobe Thompson Sr. She was predeceased by her brother, Eddie Thompson Jr. She attended Booker T. Washington High School.
She is survived by her beloved fiance, James ``Hoggie'' Davenport; four sisters, Mrs. Lelar Pearl Crenshaw of Tallahassee, Fla., Mrs. Mattie M. Hamlin, Mrs. Willia M. Legendre and Mrs. Naomi Taborn; two brothers, Mr. Raymond Thompson Sr., and Mr. Tyrone Harris, all of Norfolk; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ellen Thompson and Mrs. Earline Eley; four nieces; five nephews; and 11 great-grandnieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 3311 Brest Ave. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday by the Rev. James Anderson in Graves Funeral Home. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
