David S. Ferebee Sr., 78, of the 900 block of Florida Ave., died Oct. 22, 1995, in his home.
Mr. Ferebee, a retired pipe fitter and supervisor of Pipe Shop (NU)56, worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 33 years. He was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Lawrence Ferebee; three daughters, Delores El-Amin and Cynthia Johnson, both of Richmond, and Jacqueline Gillis of Lawton, Okla.; one son, David S. Ferebee Jr. of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Lawrence Davis, William Davis, Eugene Davis, and Diane Valentine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Roosevelt Harmon Jr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 2 p.m. today.
