Scattered puppy drum were landed along the beach from Frisco to Hatteras Inlet.

The headboat, Crystal Dawn, caught lots of big croaker, sea bass and small trout in the ocean off Oregon Inlet Wednesday.

Tuna fishing was good northeast of Oregon Inlet around the 40900 Loran line. King mackerel catches were fairly good around the offshore towers. A white marlin was released by the Outer Limits, fishing out of Pirate's Cove Marina.

Hatteras offshore action produced a few dolphin, tuna and king mackerel.

Although bottom fishing for spot is just about over for the year, sea mullet fishing should begin to improve and continue at a good pace through November.
