Glenn L. Majette III, of the 300 block of Elm Ave., died Nov. 11, 1995.
He was a former chef for Southeastern Training Center and was a native of Portsmouth. He was a former member of New Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Portsmouth. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Karen C. Majette; daughter, Peggy T. Sawyer of Portsmouth; stepdaughter, Maria L. Jenkins of Suffolk; parents, Willie Mae and Glenn L. Majette Jr., both of Portsmouth; six sisters, Marilyn Y. Hill, Gwendolyn Majette, Angela Hinton, all of Portsmouth; Army Sgt. Valerie E. Perry and Gwendolyn Majette and Carolyn Barrows, both of New York, N.Y., and Estelle Morris of Smithfield, Va.; maternal grandmother, Dona Norman of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. M.R. Blount in New Mount Olivet Baptist Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, with military honors. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 2 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at noon Wednesday.
