Foye M. Petersen, of the 700 block of L Seventh St., died Nov. 18, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Petersen, a native of Portsmouth, was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Petersen; one daughter, Angela Smith of Portsmouth; four sons, Darrell S. Smith, Edward M. Smith, Antonio Smith, and Anthony Cobbs, all of Portsmouth; her mother, Mary ``Naomi'' Wright of Portsmouth; four sisters, Hannah Travis of California, Pecolia Phelps, Barbara Johnson and Marie Stancil, all of Portsmouth; three brothers, Lee Sawyer of Norfolk, Guy Benns of Delaware, and Roosevelt Benns of Washington, D.C.; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Clarence Benns; and a brother, James Benns.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church, by the Rev. W.S. Hampton. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Thursday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday.
