International Family Entertainment Inc., Virginia Beach-based parent of The Family Channel, on Monday declared a 5-for-4 split of its Class A and Class B common stock. IFE said the split will be paid in the form of a 25 percent stock dividend, distributed Jan. 5 to shareholders of record Dec. 15. IFE said it hopes the increased number of shares will increase trading activity and the liquidity of its stock. IFE has 4 million shares of Class A stock, owned or controlled by Pat Robertson and Tim Robertson, chairman and president, respectively.
