MILLS R. MINTON III

Mills Ross Minton III, 82, of 210 Jefferson Drive, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995, in Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News.

He was a native of Isle of Wight County and a retired dairy farmer. Mr. Minton was one of the oldest members of Benn's United Methodist Church, where he was an honorary trustee and past financial secretary. He was a member of Smithfield German Club and one of the founders and a former director of the Bank of Isle of Wight. He was also a member of Smithfield Chamber of Commerce and a former director of Smithfield Farmers, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Donahoe Minton; niece, Mary Ainslie Latimer of Suffolk; great-niece, Elizabeth H. Jamerson of Richmond; and great-great-niece, Ainslie H. Jamerson of Richmond.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Old St. Luke's Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Breeden officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, and suggests memorial contributions may be made to Benn's United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 14571 Benns Church Blvd., Smithfield, Va. 23430, or the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 97, Smithfield, Va. 23431. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling the arrangements.
