A second man has been arrested in the killing of a man who died of a gunshot wound Sunday morning on Afton Parkway.
Ron M. Barnes, 20, of the 27 block of Afton Parkway, has been charged with murder, use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Donald ``Red'' Lancaster, 36, of the first block of Loxley Road was pronounced dead at the scene by police when they responded to a residence in the first block of Afton Parkway.
Arrested Sunday was Michael Prince, 20, of Richmond. Prince was charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Lancaster's slaying was the 37th of the year in Portsmouth, a record for a 12-month period in the city.
