One man was killed and another critically wounded early Thursday morning in a burst of gunfire in the 3500 block of Sewells Point Road.
Police said Derrick Williams, 31, and Jerome Dunn, 16, both of Queens, N.Y., were shot outside an apartment about 12:30 a.m.
They were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where Williams was pronounced dead on arrival. Dunn remained in critical condition Thursday afternoon.
No arrests had been made, police said. The motive is under investigation.
