Lydia Ramirez, of the 900 block of Coachman Court, died Dec. 1, 1995, in Hillhaven Convalescent Home, First Colonial Road.
She was a retired garment worker and a native of Utuado, Puerto Rico. She was the widow of George Jorge and was a member of Iglesia La Roca Church of Virginia Beach.
She is survived by two daughters, Sayda Conde of Brooklyn, N.Y., Yvonne Nieves of Brooklyn; three sons, George Ramirez of Virginia Beach, Nelson Ramirez of Brooklyn and Javier Ramirez of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Delia Hernandez of Puerto Rico and Moca Carmen Lamboy of Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers, Jose Lopez of Puerto Rico and Fernando Lopez of Newark, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. today by Pastor David Gimenez in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Chapel. Burial is in Rosewood Cemetery at 2:30 Monday. The family will assemble at the chapel at 5:30 p.m. for the service. Viewing will begin at 2 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 1:30 p.m. Monday for the internment procession.
