RUBY N. TURNER

Ruby Newbern Turner, 83, of the 400 block of Morris Ford Road, a retired machine operator, died Dec. 2, 1995, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

Mrs. Turner was born in Bertie County and was the widow of Fenton James Turner. She was retired from Ahoskie Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church in Colerain.

Survivors include two sons, Fenton Turner Jr. of Colerain and Conal Turner of Princess Anne, Md.; a sister, Myrtle Lee of Colerain; a brother, Donald Newbern of Conway; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Hines Adams. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling arrangements.
