Zenath M. ``Shorty'' Hall Sr., 82, of the 500 block of Augusta Ave., a retired welder, died Dec. 2, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Hall was born in Barberton, Ohio, and was the widower of Geraldine Ickes Hall. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 30 years and was a member of West End United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Collins of Portsmouth, Patty Leonard of Wexford, Pa. and Donna Schlard of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Zenath M. Hall Jr. of Pascagoula, Miss.; a brother, Dale Hall of Barberton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Frances Lohse and a grandson, David Lohse.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Neal J. Sasser Jr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
