JACKIE ANN BROWN

Jackie Ann Brown, 77, widow of Daniel L. Brown, died Dec. 1, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk.

Mrs. Brown was born June 30, 1918, in Morganton, N.C., and lived most of her life in Norfolk and Chesapeake. She was the loving mother of five children.

She is survived by sons, David M. Hilton Jr. and wife, Betty, of Salisbury, N.C., Jackie L. ``Shorty'' Hilton and wife, Dahline, of Norfolk; daughters, Patricia Ann Lawing and husband, Billy Ray, Myrtle Frances Sawyer and husband, Joe, all of Kannanpolis, N.C., and Amanda Willie M. Sawyer of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Ernest Moses and his wife, Virginia, of Morganton, N.C.

A memorial service will be held by the Rev. Ronald Cooper at Independence Square Freewill Baptist Church, 1615 Independence Square, Kannanpolis, on Saturday, Dec. 9, 1995 at 3 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
