Herbert L. ``Lil Buddie'' Ridley, 69, of the 200 block of W. 35th St., died Dec. 5, 1995, in Lafayette Villa Nursing Home, Norfolk.
Mr. Ridley, a native of Southampton County, Va., was self-employed. He fellowshipped with several churches in Norfolk and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include two sisters, Queen Esther Dixon of Portsmouth, and Mattie E. Hart of Franklin; three brothers, Willie Clayton and Garfield Ridley, both of Portsmouth, Irving Washington Ridley of Norfolk; sisters-in-law, Eunice Britt Ridley and Eunice Mason, both of Portsmouth; brothers-in-law, Elder James W. Dixon of Portsmouth, and Clarence Hart of Franklin; special loved niece, Mary Ellis of Portsmouth; 20 or more nieces; 20 or more nephews; 15 grandnephews; 24 grandnieces; other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today by Elder James Dixon in Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family will assemble at 1802 Atlanta Ave., Portsmouth.
