Winston Coggsdale ``Winnie'' Rountree, 65, of the 200 block of Delaney Drive, died Dec. 6, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
She was a retired office clerk for J.C. Penney Co., where she had worked for 23 years. She was a native of Southampton County, Va. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she was a charter member, member of the Ruth Bible Class, Women's Missionary Union, H.A.C. Seniors Group, and Hannah Barlow Circle. She also taught Sunday school for many years, instructing both youth and adult classes.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd A. Rountree; two sons, Alan Rountree of Suffolk and his wife, Ellen, Steven D. Rountree of Suffolk and his wife, Cheryl; two brothers, L. Russell Coggsdale of Franklin, Va., Jesse E. Coggsdale of Wilson, N.C,; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rountree of Suffolk; and grandson, Travis Rountree of Suffolk.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Douglas W. Gibson in Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial is in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family in the Hill Funeral Home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
